Artist's Comments

This was taken in Bonaire at the Salt Pier dive site. The barracuda seen at the top was probably the largest one I've ever seen. He was about 5 feet long and was about 20-25 feet above me in this photo. Taken with a Nikonos V and a 20mm at ~f/8 and 1/60s with a 105 strobe.

Ooh nice colourful pic. I've almost finished my open water certification, I can't wait until I go on holiday and do what you're doing. :-D

It's good for the terrestial dwellars to see such beautiful images, perhaps it'll inspire more to help heal our oceans & those whom we share this tiny rock with :)

Those are amazing colors. I like your composition, very well done. The shapes and patterns are very beautiful.

This is a wonderful picture, and very deserving of praise.

That’s the largest barracuda you've ever seen? It is for me too, but that doesn’t mean anything considering I've never seen one outside of captivity. Having it in the picture really gives the photo a good sense of depth. Nice work.

my goodness...this is beautiful. I just love the look of the blue...and the different colors.

I've never been diving before. I'd LOVE to go. It must feel like you are in a different world.

I saw Elvis. He sat between me and bigfoot on the UFO.

If it's not the largest, it's pretty close to being the largest. It's a little hard to tell how big it is from the photo because I was so far beneath it, but when I was next to it, I'd say it was 5-6 feet long. :)

This is incredible. I love the intense colors and the light from your strobe added just the right accent.

Impressive work. I have to get a scuba certification so I can do some underwater shots like this. :)

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

the ocean is a whole other world and you've captured a glimpse of the life beneath... amazing colors.

that's a big barracuda ... they taste great too. one of my favorite all time fish that I had at Senegal, West Africa as a kid.
