In one week (Tuesday, May 10) I'll be traveling to the Fiji Islands. This will mark my first dive trip in the Pacific. I'm very excited about it.. the coral and creatures there will be pretty different from what I've experienced in the past and only known of from photographs. It will also be a new experience for me artistically because it's the first dive trip that I'll be switching to digital underwater. For the longest time I was a strict advocate of film only (slide film in particular). This was mainly because I didn't believe that digital had the dynamic range and color saturation that slide film offered. Fortunately our technology has been increasing as usual and digital cameras are now becoming up to par. So I'm going to try and house my Nikon D70 (and not flood it) and see what I can do.
